JVA Soccer Dismantles Pike

Fessenden JVA soccer destroyed Pike on Wednesday Octobre 27. In the first half the first half, the first shift created countless scoring opportunities with Xavi like play by Ethan Borsook. However, the first shift could not put one in. The second shift came on 15 minutes into the half pumped. On a corner kick, Karl Wright played the ball beautifully into the box where Matt Paul somehow headed the ball into the back of the net. A few minutes later it was Matt again when Noah Nunnely was on a breakaway and was stopped by the keeper and Matt was there putting it home again. After the first half the score was 2-0. After an inspiring speech by Coach Lew, Fessy came out strong. It was ignited by an early goal by Jason Robbins. The ball was bouncing around close to the line on the right side of the box and Jason Robbins lightly kicked it in. The goalie was nowhere to be found. Tom Parker commented that it was a snipe to sound cool, but everyone on the field including Jason Robbins told Tom that it was in fact not a snipe and for Tom to go back to his small area on the field. Kai "the flyin Hawaiin" put one in seconds after the Jason Robbins goal. About 7.5 minutes into the half Ben Freeland crossed the ball into the middle where Sam Rowley kicked in the air into the net. About 3 minutes later on a fast break Trevor Hopkins played the ball up the line to Sam Rowley and he dribbled the ball up the line. He ran for about 10 Yards then crossed the ball into the middle where it was kicked in. The person who scored that goal was on PIKE ha. At about the 15 minute mark in the second half, a Pike attacker was slowly dribbling the ball towards the goal. Sam Rowley came from behind and stole the ball and ran towards the sideline. As Rowley was running outwards he was decked on an intentional hit by the Pike Player. He took a hard fall and a big blow to the head. Coach Lew and Frame and a few other players surrounded him and made sure he was alright. All of the other Fessy players gathered and determined that it was #40 that leveled him. After about 2 minutes Srowley got up and the shift was over. The second shift put in two more worthless goals and the game was over. After the game, coach Lew said that we played to our full potential and was proud of us. The final score was 8-1.
