Is it smart to take a Quarterback in the first Round??

Well, in the last decade it doesn't look like it has been smart to take a QB in the first round. In 2000 the Dolphins drafted Chad Pennington, and he was only good after played with the Jets and came back to the Dolphins for one season. David Carr 1st round 2002, is now the backup QB for the 49ers, after playing backup on the Giants, and starting with the Panthers. Byron Leftwich, Kyle Boller, and Rex Grossman, all taken in the first round in 2003 have mostly been backups, never quite becoming a good starting NFL QB. Former Heisman winner Matt Leinart, was drafted by the Cardinals, and never did anything, he was played so bad in the preseason, Arizona traded him to the Texans. Leinart is know the backup to Matt Schaub. The two biggest dissapointments in 2007, JaMarcus Russell, and Brady Quinn. Russell the number 1 pick, never did anything in his three years playing with the Raiders, which led to him being released (he is not currently in the NFL). Quinn was okay in Cleveland, and then was traded this year to the Broncos, and is know third string QB behind Tim Tebow. Most of these QB'S have been let downs, but there are some good ones. Some of the good QB'S are Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Eli Manning, and Jay Cutler. Think twice before you take a QB in the draft.

Giants Cowboys Recap

Shaky start to the Giants in Dallas. Eli Manning threw 2 picks on the Giants first two drives, but both passes were tipped by Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith. Beside from those two picks the Giants looked sharp Manning connected with Hakeem Nicks for two TD'S , and hit Mario Manningham and Steve Smith also for TD'S. Ahmad Bradshaw had 126 rushing yards on about 25 carries, and Brandon Jacobs had a nice 30 yard TD even though he fumbled. The Giants Defense looked good knocking out their fifth Quarterback this season. They had three sacks also. Jon Kitna looked like a decent backup, hitting Dez Bryant twice for scores. Tom Coughlin was perfect on challenges, Hakeem Nicks' sideline pass was ruled a completion, and Jason Witten fumbled and was recovered by the Giants. The Giants are second in total offense, and third in defense. The Giants look like one of the front runners in the NFC.
The Fessy Intermidiate football team is off to a great start. So far they are 2-0-1. Their two wins were against Dover-Sherbern 22-8, which was their season opener where the tough defense of the Fessenden Bears shut Dover Sherbern out of the game early. The opening drive was a touchdown dive around end to Jasen Voghel. The two-point conversion was converted by a powerful run by Mathew Barrow he got great push from Sam Goldberg and Robbie Warming. The second touchdown was a long run by Christan Gallegher with an amazing block from James Paolella springing him free. The extra point was converted by Jasen Voghel throwing a pitch-pass to Charlie Magnum. A perfectly called play. The Defense was very solid only allowing one touchdown. The last touchdown was a touchdown throw from Justen Voghel to Ben Rush who made an outstanding catch and beat the safety to the end zone. The Dover Sherbern offense tried throwing a couple deep passes but Tavis Simms and Alex Feye made sure that nothing got by them. The reason that the Fessy won was because of the amazing defense by Charlie Magnum who made crushing hits on running backs. The offense couldn’t get outside as well because of Connor Lenfest and Christan Gallegher.  The second game was against Brown. It was a tie 14-14. Fessenden had a few chances to score but failed. There was also a very questionable call on 4th down. This was not the best game by Fessy because of a lot of penalties. The most recent game was a 24-16 win over Fay. This was the best game that the Fessy team played, for every player had contributed. The Fessy Defense again was amazing forcing 4 players to visit the sideline because of injuries. These massive hits were forced by Matt Barrow, Jasen Voghel, and Chalie Magnum. Other punishing hits were made by Sam Goldberg, and Alex Koineg who played amazing with 4 tackles. The Fessy offence was created with a touchdown by Christan Gallegher, and Charlie Magnum had some nice catches. Fessy took the lead after a quaterback sneak. The onside by Jasen Voghel was recovered by Conor Lenfest. However Fessy fumbled and gave Fay a chance to score but Fessy’s tough defense didn’t give up and Fessy was victorious. The next game Fessy will travel to Belmont Hill and play a very good team. Coach Lyons said this game will show us were we are in the season.
Here is an interview where Mr. Lyons tells us about the season:

What do you think the team's biggest weakness is?
I’m not sure if it’s necessarily a weakness, but we are down to 17 players so we aren’t able to rest as many players as I could if the team was larger.

What do you think is the team's biggest greatness?
Our players have really worked hard.  I think our team’s succes can is directly related to the effort we put into practice.

When you play a team like Belmont Hill what is your approach to the gameplan?
Well, traditionally Belmont Hill is always a strong opponent.  You know that in order to execute any game plan against them your going to have to limit your mistakes.

In the past which team has Fessy struggled with if so? Why?
Probably our two toughest opponents recently have been Belmont Hill and St. Sebastians.  They have great coaches and great players.

From the first game what improvements has the team made?
As the season progresses, you learn what your team’s strengths and weaknesses are and you try to make the necessary adjustments to emphasize your strengths and to improve on those areas that need work.

How do you think the defense is doing? Why?
Well the best defense is one that never allows any points.  That’s hard to do but that is always our goal.  Right now we’ haven’t lost yet (one tie) so I guess we’re doing O.K

What has been the key to our success?
working hard usually leads to success regardless of what your doing.

Is there anything in partical that is unique about this team if so what?
Absolutely.  Every team has a unique personality.  Sometimes it takes a while to see a team's personality.  I would say one of the most unique things about this team is that everyone seems to be quietly determined.  We don't have many players who are loud or outspoken. This team seems to have players who work hard, get along with each other and everyone seems to be focused on the same objective.  At this point in the season our team leaders seem to be leading by example and actions.  I only hope that continues.

Playoffs

I know its early
but playoffs don't talk bout playoffs
which team do you think has no chance at making the playoffs

David Deacon-Jones- The Greatest Pass Rusher of All Time

Back in the day when Deacon-Jones played stats were not being followed yet, and if they did have stats Deacon-Jones would have the most sacks in a season with 26 sacks in 1967!! He also had two other years with 20+ sacks. He soon got the nickname "The Sacks Man" because he could easily take down a QB, even after he fell down.

Deacon-Jones was not only famous for his Sacks but he was also famous for his head slap. Which is when he slapped the man on the line with his hand making him shut his eyes giving him enough time to demolish the QB. He was able to move so fast threw the pocket it was almost impossible to stop him from reaching the QB.  His career total for sacks would be 180.5. In 1967 and 1968 his total sacks for those to seasons combined would be 50!!!!! But remember that would only have been 28 games in which he had a total of 50 sacks. He was averaging over those two seasons 1.8 sacks per game. That is an almost impossible feat at the NFL level today.

He was easily one of the baddest dudes in football history of all time. He had an amazing career. He was a very clever man that could hit and run very hard. To bad he only played 13 years he could have easily had the most sacks in football history if he played as long as Bruce Smith or Reggie White. But he still would have been third on the all time Sacks list if they counted stats during his 13 year career.

Oregon Ducks Football Weekly Update

This week Oregon played UCLA and dominated the whole game only allowing 1TD(with extra point) and 2Field Goals. But that wasn't good enough to match Oregon. Darron Thomas 308 yards and 3TD, LaMichael James 123 yards rushing and 2TD, and a couple other Field goals and TD. Both Oregon's QB and Running back had a very good game. To bad for UCLA they got crushed by  Oregon.

The Final Score:

                1    2    3    4    F
Oregon   15  17  14  14  60
UCLA     0    3    3     7  13

My last word for the week is GO DUCKS!!!!! OOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top Rookie Plays in Week 6

The top ten plays by the rookie's in week 6.

Austin Collie WR and Dallas Clark for the Indiana Colts

The colts have announced today that Austin Collie had a thumb surgery. This will definitly hurt the Colts. He had 44 catches for 503 yards and the team high 6 touchdown receptions. Also he averages 11.4 yards per reception. The colts have a bye but the next game it is very unlikly to see Dallas Clark play. This will also hurt the colts. He's got 37 receptions for 347 yards and aerages 9.4 yards per reception. Also he has 3 touchdowns. The three year pro Jacob Tamme is in for Clark.

IF3 Toronto 2010

Last Saturday, The IF3(International Freeski Film Festival) in Toronto took place. Although winter isn't here yet, and snow hasn't begun to fall, nor will it for the next month or so, every one there was geared up and ready for the best season of the year.
As the credits starting rolling for Meathead Film’s Work It Out, the animated talk of those in attendance drew lots of attention to the relatable cast of characters of the east coast film company and their superb jib trickery. As the day grew on, the marathon of ski films grew in grand style, and so did the theatre, as more and more seats were filled. The eyes of those who filed into The Royal Cinema beamed, as deep powder and dazzling jib skills of an endless stream of top-notch ski talent glazed across the screen. The atmosphere of the young and old as the films flowed along grew tantalizing, seeing a huge diversity of the ski culture from the greatest steeps skied to the touching exploits of a young spiky-haired kid named Tanner Hall in Like a Lion.
The Festival gave everyone a kick to get through the remaining fall weeks before the white comes. At the end of the day, everyone attending had a great time and was memorized by the incredible ski talent that was shown there. Fun was had by all, and nobody can wait until next season's festival. If there was one more thing that I could say it would be I wish that I could be there.

Bruins Upset Capitals

Last night the Bruins upset the Capitals 3-1. It is completely surprising to hockey fans everywhere. The Capitals had home ice advantage. David Krejci, Milan Lucic, and Matt Hunwick got the goals for the Bruins and Marcus Johansson scored for the Caps. Tim Thomas had 35 saves! The goaltending for the Caps was sloppy. The Caps have Ovechkin, Backstrom, Green, and Semin. The Caps are stacked. Everyone is making a big deal out of Tyler Seguin but he has only scored 1 this year and I believe all eyes should be on Nathan Horton. Nathan Horton has scored 3 goals and is a leader in +/- with +6. Anyway, the Bruins are going to have their home opener on Thursday against the Caps again. Will it be another upset or a rout? We will find out Thurday.
Till then this is Karl Wright reporting for Sports Madness.

Dieon Branch Analysis

In Dieon Branch debut Sunday against the RAvens it was an outstanding win 23-20. Dieon had 9 red for 98 yards and 1 TD. I was at this game and when they announced his name there was an standing ovation and when he caught his first pass and TD. There was also a standing ovation. I truly think that Dieon Branch has added something special to this team. Defenses will struggle because they will not know who to double coverage Welker or Branch. They are both true weapons. In the first three quaters Dieon BRanch only had 2 rec for 23 yards but in the fourth quater and OT he had 7 rec for 75 yards and a TD. Two huge plays that he made were catches on the game winning drive. He caught one that brought the Patriots to the 35 yard line and another catch that brought them to the 22 yard line. If we had Randy Moss this game I believe that we would have lost this game. In week 1 Randy Moss press conference was terrible he only said negative things about the Patriots. In Dieon Branch’s press conference he told us how happy he was to be back with the team and how amazing they had played. His 9 rec were the second most in his carrer. Now that Branch is back I also expected that Tom Brady will improve as well. I am going to break down Moss and Branch:

Speed: Moss
Yards: Moss
Rec: Branch
Team Player: Branch
Versitial: Branch
Chemistry: Branch
Agility: Branch
Height: Moss
Hands: Moss

I say that Dieon is more valuable to the Patriots right now because he is a team player and he can do anything go long short or in the slot. However Moss can only go deep. Also Branch is less of a distraction to the team. I also think that Dieon Branch realizes that he made a huge mistake leaving the Patriots. Personally I think that having Welker in Branch in the slot is better than Moss deep. Dieon Branch always plays hard. For example he blocks great such as the great block he made to free Brandon Tate on the end around. Also Moss doesn’t run routes as fast as he can while Branch runs everything 115%. If the Ravens D allowed Branch to have 9 red for 98 yards and a TD I expect that other teams will have more difficulty. I believe that Brady, Welker, and Branch will stay as a trio of Patriots and bring great things to come. Maybe even a Super Bowl.

NFL upsets

Upsets in the NFL
St. Louis beat San Deigo Chargers 20-17
Reason the Chargers lost: I believe that the CHargers lost because of rushing the Rams outrushed the Chargers 117-77. Also the Chargers need to get a rythum with the offense becasue they are struggling big time.
That was the only huge upset this weel keep in mind the Rams got killed by the Lions 33-7.

Big Ben preformance

Big Ben came back from his suspension on Sunday against the Browns. He looked pretty good from missing five weeks. Even though on his first pass it was intercepted he never looked back he kept on going. He ended up throwing for around 300 yards had 3 TD and 1 INT. A couple of his passes looked nice but on that first interception the only reason that it happened was because of timing. He had been practicing with the team but his timing was off a little you could tell. His pass to Mike Wallace for a TD was very nice and so was the TD to Hines Ward. For his first game back he played great. The Steelers are starting to look good with a great D fense and a good QB they should be a Super Bowl contender.

Colt McCoy debut

Colt McCoy his start against the Steelers was okay. He would have done much better if he wasn’t playing a team as good as that. He went 18/31 with 286 yards a TD and 2 INT. I see very good things coming from this QB he needs to be able to handle the rush because he will see a lot of blitz pretty soon. The Browns need to get more weapons around him though he doesn’t have a great receiver except for okay Josh Cribbs. The Browns could repair there bad team if the brought in some good DB and if the got some WR that Colt McCoy could throw to. The most important thing for the Browns though is the way that they use their draft picks if they use them good watch out for the BROWNS BOYS!

ATTA BOY

The ATTA BOY moment of the week. The ATTA BOY moment of the week is Dieon Branch with his 9 rec for 98 yards and 1 TD. He came back to the Patriots ready to play most people thought that he wouldn’t do well becuase for the last couple of years he was very bad. However Dieon Branch was my favorite player and still is he is so good. I think that in order to stop him he needs to be double coveraged but that leaves Welker open. The way that Dieon Branch played I think that he is a great replacement for Randy Moss. At the game a guy was wearing a shirt saying MOSS WHO I agree with that the Pats are fine without Moss thanks to Branch.

Best Game of the Year?!?!

Today, the New England Patriots played the Baltimore Ravens, and were not predicted to win. Watching the Ravens move the ball at the beginning was horriffying. The Patriots responded with a touchdown later in the quarter, 7-3 Pats. Then The Ravens were moving the ball, and again, scored a touchdown. 10-7 Ravens. The Ravens Scored AGAIN. To the Fourth Quarter, Patriots down 20-10, they score a touchdown, to the newly aqcuired DEION BRANCH!!!!! They get a field goal later. Overtime, they both have 2 3 and outs, until the Pats get the ball, they throw it to Deion Branch twice in the drive to get in field goal range, and win the game with 2 minutes left in overtime.

College Football Score

The biggest upsets this week
Ohio State loses to Wisconsin 31 18
Nebraska loses to Texas 20 13
South Carolina loses to Kentucky 31 28

Ohio State game
The reason that they lost this game is because they couldn't stop John Clay who rushed for 2 TD and 185 another thing that killed them was that TD on the opening kick off.

Nebraska game
The reason that the lost was because the quaterback had two rushing TD against them other than that I think that they played good but Texas was just to good.

South Carolina game
The reason that South Carolina lost this game is because after they were ahead they let Kentucky come back also there were a lot of blown coverages that didn't help. South Carolinas defense didn't help at all. It was a great comback by Kentucky

Pats Stats vs Giants Stats

Here are some stats to keep in mind over this season. for the Pats
32.8 PPG is first in the NFL
344.2 yards per game 11 in the NFL
220.0 passing yards per game 15 in the NFL
122.2 rushing yards per game 13 in the NFL

Giants
21.2 points per game 14 in the NFL
378.0 yards per game 5 in the NFL
274.5 passing yards per game 9 in the NFL
130 rushing yards per games 11 in the NFL

Which team is better leave comments

All about Patriots

Gains and Losts to the Patriots
They picked up Torry Holt
Wes Welker back for Patriots
Get back Dieon Branch

Losts
The Patriots have only lost Randy Moss but have replaced him with Dieon Branch. The way I look at it the Patriots haven't lost anything but they countinue to struggle on D-fense

Two great Machup
The Patriots went into the Jets staduim was up 14 and lost nothing else to say.
Another great matchup will be the Vikings vs Patriots with Randy Moss on the Vikings Dieon Branch on the Patriots should be an great offensive game to watch both D are struggling this year though.
I pick the score 41-31 Patriots

This season I think that the Patriots will make it to the AFC Championship game and lose.

Leave comments about how you think the Pats will do.

Aaron Rodgers

Espn says that Aaron Rodgers was cleared to practice Thursday.  He wants to start on Sunday. He just suffered a concussion against the Redskins on Sunday.

Colt McCoy Starting!!!!!!

Hello we are now introducing something called the ATTA BOY moment of the week here it is:

Hey you guys all know that Colt Mccoy will get the start this Sunday against the Steelers. This is a very bad team to start against they have big strenghths in the secondarys and can bring the blitz. If Colt Mccoy wants to succed he will have to be able to notice the blitz. I think that Colt Mccoy will deffinitly do okay because he is a great quaterback but against the Steelers that just hard. Also I think that he is getting used to the NFL and will not be prepared.

I think that Colt Mccoy stats will be like this:
21-32 216 passing yards 2 TD

Puts comments what you think will happen and how good Colt Mccoy will do.

Top Ten Plays in Week 5!

Here are the 10 best plays in week 5!

comment on this!
i now that picture is in week two but it is a sweet catch

True best player in the NFL

Everybody has said different things about who is the best in the nfl. I am saying in 5-7 years the best player in the nfl will be Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan is a former Boston College player and currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons. In 2 years and the past few weeks he has thrown for 45 TD's. He had an impressive year last year throwing for 22 TD. He also missed two games showing that if he had been in those he would have thrown for more TD's and been ranked more elite. Last year league mvp Peyton Manning threw for 33 TD passes and Super Bowl mvp Drew Brees threw for 34 TD's. These players won't be as good in the next few years and Matt Ryan will be the best. What I have to say is that Matt Ryan will be the next Brett Favre!

SO THANK YOU ROCHA

Should Boise be able to play in the BCS Championship?

For the past 4 years, since Boise won their first BCS bowl, the first non-BCS conference team to do so, they have been getting attention. With an undefeated record this year, and a Fiesta Bowl victory last year, they are on a roll. Their ferocious offense led by Kellen Moore, with the best quarterback rating in the country, has been sky-high in points per game, and yards per game. They are scoring 47 points per game, and only letting up 14.8, which is the 11th best in the country. Commonly, Boise State is thought to be a 1-dimension offense, but they are up to 15th in the nation in rush yards, with 224 rushing yards per game.
But back to the point of this blog, Boise State does not control their own destiny, as if they go undefeated, they don't control their future of going to the National Championship game, as Ohio State and Oregon do. They have to show to everyone that they are up for the challenge. 4 years ago Boise state was given a challenge in the Fiesta Bowl, and they took it, and knew they didn't have many chances, and they won it. Boise should have the right to go to the National Championship game, because even if they may not have the talent level as Ohio State or Oregon, they have the coaching. Who thought in 2006 that Boise would beat Oklahoma? The team took risks and that is what they will do if they go to this game. So if they go, it will be a good game, it is just a matter of if they are actually the 1st or 2nd best team in the country, which they DO have to prove.

-Alex Feye

Fanasty Gambles

Here are some players that could help you win or lose
Matt Cassell- he looked terrible in the lost against the Colts however he is facing the Texans this week who have allowed 20+ fanasty points every week at the quaterback position.
Vince Young- he has a lot of confidence with himself just coming of a nice game
Fred Jackson- hasn't had a great season but last week average 6.1 yards a carry
Ryan Torian- This is probably the best pick with Clinton Portis out they need a person who can carry the ball and he is the guy.

Brett Favre

Should Brett Favre stay in the NFL?
Yes or No? Just comment what you think.

VIP stats for Ravens Pats

Here are some important stats about the Ravens and Pats

Total Yards
Pats- 344 yards
Ravens- 328 yards
Pats

Passing Yards
Pats- 220 yards
Ravens- 214 yards
Pats

Rushing Yards
Pats- 122 yards
Ravens- 114 yards

Offensivly the Pats have the edge over the Ravens. However Ray Rice hasn't fully been healthy yet so you don't know. Also I think that the Ravens are better defensivly.

Fanasty Football Updates

A football player that you deffinitly want to start this game is LT. Even though he is still playing against the Packers the Packers are ranked 27 in rush defense. The Jets need to get the ball to LT so look out for him.
Another football player that will have a big day is the Jets Defense they are playing against a weakened Packers offense with Aaron Rogers out and their TE Finley.
Another player that will have a big day is Dieon Branch now that Dieon is reunited with the Patriots look for Tom Brady to go to him more often because Moss is gone.
A player to bench is Donavan McNabb the reason is that he his playing against a strong colts d and because he has been struggling this season.
Another player not to play is Ben Roethisburger the reason is because this is his first game and he hasn't been working with the team lately and his timing with be off.

The 2011 NFL Draft- Picks for The Pats

I know it's all little early to talk about the draft but this Draft is key for the Patriots. They could easily pick up a new starting Running Back, or even a new back up QB. These are the people I think the Pats should pick up.

RB- LaMichael James from Oregon who is averaging 170 yds per game with these numbers it could lead him to a Heisman.
QB- Bryant Moinz I know you guys will think I'm a little crazy for picking someone out of Hawaii but look at his numbers. In 6 games he has 18TD and 4Int with 2245Passing Yds, and he is 160completions for 247Attempts. This would be a great addition to the Pats so we won't have to worry about having are Back up QB come in.
Defense-Vinny Curry from Marshall who has 11.5 tackles for a loss of yardage. That is averaging almost 2 tackles for a loss of yardage per game. These tackles are key in 4th and 2 or 3rd and 5. Vinny Curry would help the Pats not allow so many yard rushing or passing.

There will be later updates for Picks for The Pats so keep waiting because they are soon to come.

REVENGE: Rematch of Nebraska vs Texas

Why is this called REVENGE?
If you had not seen the Big 12 Championship game in 2009, it was one of the greatest. Undefeated Texas took on the underdog 9-3 Cornhuskers. The Longhorns were stopping Nebraska from moving the ball all day, which was the same with Nebraska. With 1 second left Colt McCoy threw the ball out of bounds, and gave the Huskers the victory. BUT WAIT! A last second decision by the refs to review the time on the clock (which is not allowed) was made, and Texas got the ball back with 1 second, and made the field goal to win it.

This Saturday there is a rematch of these two teams, the undefeated ranked 5th in the nation Cornhuskers, taking on the rebuilding Longhorns.

Who will win and why?

This game will NOT be a close game. This is coming from a biased source, but there are facts to back it up. Nebraska has the best pass defense, with 11 interceptions, facing a passing Texas offense. Nebraska has the Big 12 leader in tackles Lavonte David. Nebraska's D line cannot be condoned after losing Ndamukong Suh, as they have Jared Crick, who is 6'4 290, faster, and maybe just as good. Forget defense, Nebraska has Taylor Martinez (in the photo above) is fifth in the nation in rushing yards. He also leads the nation in yards per carry average. The freshman from Corona, California could be the next Eric Crouch, who ended up to win the Heisman Trophy. Rex Burkhead and Roy Helu have both made big impacts on Nebraska's running game. Passing for the Huskers is the problem, Martinez can pass, but throws 7-11 passes per game. He also has great receivers in Niles Paul and Brandon Kinnie, but doesn't use them to pass to. Texas on the other hand, is having problems, they are putting up close games to teams that should be completely inferior to them. They have lost their record-holding quarterback Colt McCoy, as he's in the NFL, and his primary receiver. Sergio Kindle on their defense left, as did Earl Thomas, who were both top picks, and these were the impact players that brought them to the National Championship game.

Predicted Score:

41-16 Huskers

Another Sophomore For Heisman?!?!?!?!

Everybody remembers how in 2007 Tim Tebow was the first Sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. The year after it was won by Sam Bradford, another Sophomore, and the next, Mark Ingram, A Sophomore! This year, it is looking like the edge is going to Denard Robinson, a Sophomore from Michigan. With 1,223 yards passing right now, the twelfth best quarterback rating and 991 rushing yards which leads the nation, he has a large edge. And best of all, he doesn't tie his shoes! Though he isn't the only candidate, there is LaMichael James of Oregon, second in the nation in rushing, Mark Ingram, the former Heisman winner from Alabama, and Taylor Martinez, the talented freshman from Nebraska, who is the fifth leading rusher in the country, with the second least carries than anybody in the top 50 in rushing. And lastly, Terrell Pryor, the junior from Ohio State, who is leading the best team in the nation to an undefeated record.

AFC East Divison

This years race for the AFC East Divison is between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets. These are both powerhouse football teams. I will break it down for you by position.
Tom Brady or Mark Sanchez- Tom Brady
Ben Jarvis Green Ellis- LT- LT
Dustin Keller- Aaron Hernandez- Aaron Hernadez
Nick Folck- 13/15- Stephen Gowscowski- Nick Folck
Steve Weatherford 12 inside 20- Zoltan Mescko 2 inside 20- Steve Weatherford
Julian Edelman- Jim Leonhard- Julian Edelman
Brandon Tate- Brad Smith- Brandon Tate
Jets D- Patriots D- Jets D

These two teams are very similar.
The Patriots are amazing offensive team
The Jets are amzing defense team.

They say defense wins championship.

SO I PICK JETS!!!!!
As you know this is Ladanian Tomlinson. His last season with the Chargers was his worst season in his whole career. But so far this season he has 76 carries for 435 yards. He averages 5.7 yards per carry and has 3 touchdowns. Some of you might think that this might be LT's last year or that he should retire. But I think that he should stay in the league. He is a hall of fame running that has played for 10 years in the NFL. He probably will play for three more years and then retire and be in the hall of fame.

Dieon Branch

Dieon Branch has recently been traded to the Patriots from Seattle for a fourth round pick. Looking back on Dien Branch's stats he is great player because he just gets yards for example in his carrer of 104 games he has 5,091 yards. Thats averaging about 50 yards a game. However he needs more help finding the end zone he only has 29 TD in his carrer. However I think that their is no better way to replace Randy Moss by bringing in your best reciever you had. Some people think that Dieon Branch is old and is going to get injured a lot. I know that he has been injured a lot in the past couple of years but as a Patriot he has been healthy, playing at least 9 games a year. However his numbers haven't been the same lately. I love this trade so much the reason is that Dieon Branch was my favorite player on the Patriots and I was heartbroken when I heard he was traded away. He says that he is no Randy Moss however I think this year he will prove that he is infact a playmaker like Randy Moss.

Around the League

Hello Everybody,
I know that this blog is meant mostly for the Patriots. However just leave comments about football or anything that you want me to write about and I will. Just any thing.

Patriots vs Ravens

I think that this game with be a matter of whether the Patriots can stop the strong rush game with Willis McGahee and Ray Rice. The reason I think it is important to stop there run game is because they have 337 rushing yards in 4 games. However they have allowed 467 yards in 4 games and have allowed 3 TD but I don't think that the Patriots run game is good enough to beat the Ravens D. The Ravens also have a pretty strong passing game lead by Boldin with 355 yards and their TE Todd Heap is extrodinary as well with 188 yards. The Ravens have 914 passing yards, so look for them to pound the young secondary of the Patriots again and again. However if Chung and linebackers can step up it could be close. Even with the okay quaterback Joe Flacco the goal of the Ravens is to pick apart the defense of the Patriots if they can they easily win. However their defense could be considered week in the secondary because of the lose of Ed Reed who lead the team in interceptions. The Ravens only have 1 INT and Tom Brady being on of the best quateracks might be able to pick them apart. The key thing is the last time these two teams meet was in the playoffs the Patriots got destroyed because of the amazing defense of the Ravens. The score that I pick for this game is 24-17 Ravens.

Randy Moss

As most of you guys Randy Moss has been traded to the Vikings for a 3 round pick. I think that this is a great trade for the Patriots the reason is that in the past the Patriots have had a lot of success drafting young future stars. However the I think that this is a very bad trade for Randy Moss because he has had his best years as a Patriot including the sueason where he had 1,493 yards and 23 TDs. These are both carrer highs. One of the main reasons that I believe Randy Moss was traded is becasue of the awful press confrence that he had after the Week 1 win against the Bengals. Where he stated the he was unwanted in this organization which I think is completely false because the Patriots loved having Moss around. Another thing that Randy messed up on this year was that arguement that he had during the Monday night football game. It was the first time in his carrer that he had not caught a pass I can see how that frustrates him but there is still no excuse. In interviews players say that Randy Moss and Bill got along fine. However I think that that is false they diffinititly had a few arguments. People believe that since this trade has happened the Patriots chances of the playoffs are over. I think differently about this because Randy Moss isn't even leading the Patriots in recieving the new tight end Aaron Hernandez leads receiving yards with 230. Here is another big question will Brett Farve and Randy Moss be better than Tom Brady and Randy Moss. Here I say NO WAY. NO WAY that Brett Farve will throw 23 TD passes to Randy Moss. Actually I don't think Brett Farve will throw 23 TD passes this year. In his carrer Brett Farve is better than Tom Brady but now its Brady. Brady and Moss are one of the best combos in NFL history actually probably the best. Another thing that will help the Patriots is that they might get Deion Branch when he was with the Patriots he had 11 catches in the Super Bowl tying the record and winning the MVP award the Patriots look like they are in good shape.
